Apple idioms

● Apple of (someone's) eye- "яблоко глаза" -чья-либо радость, радовать глаз. Например: Lucy is the apple of her grandmother's eye.
● Apple pie order - "порядок яблочного пирога" - идеальный порядок
In my sister's room apple pie order always reigns.
● Bad apple/rotten apple - "плохое/гнилое яблоко" - нехороший человек. Например: The boy is a bad apple and he is always in some kind of trouble.
● Compare apples and oranges- "сравнивать яблоки и апельсины" - сравнивать то, что сравнить невозможно. Например: It was like as comparing apples and oranges when we compared our new boss to our old boss.
● Polish the apple-"полировать яблоко" - льстить кому-то. Например: Nobody likes the girl because she is always polishing the apple with her teacher
