This book is a historical novel that chronicles the tumultuous events in Russia during the Napoleonic war in the early nineteenth century. Focusing on an aristocratic way of life, the story captures a generation on the brink of change, with some giving their lives to defend the existing class structure while others more readily embrace the disappearance of their old way of life. WAIT A MINUTE. Something is wrong. This book is about cartoons. It is not about Russia, it is not about Napoleon, it is not about aristocrats - it is just about cartoons! The description above must have gotten pasted there by mistake so just ignore it (sounds like the plot of a cheap romance novel, no?) I love this book. It is the greatest thing since the invention of the Egg McMuffin in my not so humble opinion. If I wasn"t unemployed, I would go out and buy a copy of it. As a matter of fact, I might even buy more than one. But don"t just take my word for it. Read the review by Captain Crunch below. He is generally a very harsh critic (especially when cereal humor is involved as it is in parts of this book) so you should take his words of praise very seriously. Despite the high price, this is a non-profit book. All proceeds will go nowhere since there will not be any! At least the government will not get any tax money from this which they would just waste on unjustified wars, pork barrel projects, Michelle Obama"s vacations, bailing out corrupt financial institutions, or... (you get the idea)! Before I forget, I would like to thank my sister Loraine Gottfried (graphic artist extraordinaire) for all her great help and advice. I have more space here and feel compelled to use it up. Should I use it all up to get my money"s worth or should I save some for the next person?
